Hatting

Hatting is a municipality with 1282 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Innsbruck Land, Tyrol. The municipality is located in the judicial district Telfs.

Geography

Hatting is located in the Upper Inn Valley, about 18 kilometers west of Innsbruck between Zirl and Telfs.

Neighboring communities

History

The municipality was annexed in 1974 to the community Inzing and again separated from it in 1993.

The scattered village goes back to his floor plan on the old Salt Road from Kematen to Telfs.

First documented in the 11th century, its foundation dates back to the early Middle Ages. Located in the metropolitan area of Innsbruck, Hatting experienced in the last decades a large settlement growth.
