Chazerim (Hebrew חֲצֵרִים ) is a kibbutz west of Beersheba in the Negev desert in southern Israel. There is next to a jojoba plantation with the company Netafim one of the world 's largest manufacturer of irrigation systems.
The kibbutz was founded in the night of 5 to October 6, 1946 as part of Operation "Eleven points ". The name means " Homesteads " and was taken from the Bible (Deuteronomy 2:23 a) because there farms in this area are mentioned: " the Awwiter who lived in villages as far as Gaza ".
Culture and sights
On the military airfield Chazerim is the Museum of the Israeli Air Force.
