Haugean

Haugianer were in Norway and Denmark named persons, who belonged to the revival movement of Hans Nielsen Hauge.

This widespread in the 19th century religious movement arose from the need of the domestic worship, and was organized as an itinerant preacher Hans Nielsen Hauge since 1797.

A similar movement developed under the name Läsare (Swedish: [ the ] " reader " ) in Sweden. This is a general name for the Lutheran Pietists, especially the northern part of Sweden, but will also pejoratively ( " bigot " ) needed. In general, professing the faith of the Lutheran Church, they operate their pious zeal notably by diligent reading of the Bible and Luther's Piety, strict observance of Sunday, industrious visit edifying meetings and strict lifestyle.
