Haukar
Haukar Hafnarfjörður is the name of an Icelandic sports club from Hafnarfjörður. The club is best known for his handball section.
The club also football, chess, skiing and recreational sports is offered except handball.
History
The club was (German Football Association The hawks ) was founded as Knattspyrnufélagid Haukar on 12 April 1931 by young men from the YMCA Hafnarfjörður.

Haukar Hafnarfjörðurs men's team won the Icelandic national championship in 1943, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009.
In the EHF Champions League, the club played:
- EHF Champions League 2003 /04: Third (group B),
- EHF Champions League 2004 /05: Third (Group F)
- EHF Champions League 2005 /06: Fourth ( group C),
- EHF Champions League 2008 /09: Third (Group F).
In the 2000 /01 season Haukar was able to record the semi-finals of the EHF Cup his greatest international success with the feeder.
