Hauke Fuhlbrügge

Hauke ​​Fuhlbrügge ( born March 21, 1966 in Friedrichroda ) is a former German athlete who belonged in the 1990s, a world leader in the 1500 meter race. His biggest success was the third place at the World Championships in 1991. Until 1990, he competed for the German Democratic Republic.

Hauke ​​Fuhlbrügge belonged to the SC Turbine Erfurt ( Erfurt renamed later in TSV ) and coached at Dieter Hermann. In his playing days, he was 1.80 m tall and weighed 65 kg.

Fuhlbrügges biggest competitor on the tartan track was Jens- Peter Herold. His greatest coup was Fuhlbrügge by winning the bronze medal over 1500 meters at the 1991 World Championships in Tokyo, when he was still on sprinted to just before the finish already on his third place cheering Herold.
