Hauni Maschinenbau AG is the world's leading manufacturer of machines and systems for the international tobacco industry. The name " Hauni " is the abbreviation for " Universal Hanseatic ", in reference to Körber's former employer, the Universal -Werke Dresden.

The product portfolio includes Hauni machinery and equipment for all process stages - from tobacco processing on the production of filters, cigarettes and special products to final quality measurement. In addition, the company offers technical services and consultancy.

History

The company was founded in 1946 by Kurt A. Körber and is thus founding companies of Körber AG. The company is headquartered in Hamburg. With almost 3900 employees, a turnover of 800 million euros was achieved in 2011.
