Hauroth

Hauroth is a municipality in the district Cochem-Zell, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Emperor Esch.

Geography

Hauroth is located in the Eifel region. The municipality also includes the residential places Sonnenhof, Tannenhof and Wiesenhof.

History

Hauroth was first mentioned in 1103. Hauroth belonged to the end of the 18th century kurtrierischen Office Monreal and the high court Masburg. The high court Masburg was a fief of the Counts of Virneburg. In Trier fire book from 1563 14 hearths (households) are listed in Hauroth ( Huroden ).

In 1794, French revolutionary troops had the left bank of the Rhine was annexed, from 1798 to 1814 belonged to the canton Hauroth Kaisersesch in the arrondissement of Koblenz in the Rhine -Moselle department. The municipal council ( Haurother community representatives in the Mairie Emperor Esch) was 1808, the citizens Theisen.

Due to the decisions on the Congress of Vienna ( 1815), the region was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia. Under the Prussian administration Hauroth the community came to the mayor's Emperor Esch district Cochem, who belonged to the Rhine Province to the new Region of Koblenz and from 1822 on.

Since 1946, the community Hauroth is part of Rhineland- Palatinate, since 1968 it belongs to the municipality Emperor Esch and since 1969 the district Cochem- Zell.

Parish council

The local council in Hauroth consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

The coat of arms description reads: " Divided by a left oblique silver wave beams of red and green. Above, a perforated round-arched, divided by three staggered, nose pointed arches studded golden window. Below are three golden ears ".
