Hausberg Gondola Lift

The Hausbergbahn is a cable car from Garmisch -Partenkirchen (732 m) to the mountain ( 1338 m) and thus to the " classic" ski mountain - Alpine peaks. It is part of the Bavarian Zugspitze Railway Mountain Railway AG and is only operated in the winter.

Built by PHB earlier Hausbergbahn went into operation in 1969. She was an aerial tramway with two cabins each 70 persons and was, until the end of the winter season 2005/ 06 in operation. For the winter season 2006/ 07 she was replaced by a built by Doppelmayr gondola. It has a sloping length of 2036 meters and overcomes a difference in altitude of 606 meters. With the 66 cabins of CWA for 8 persons each a capacity of 2400 people per hour is achieved. The 50 mm thick Rope runs over 15 cable car supports. It is powered by an electric motor at the top station and held by a hydraulic clamping device at the base station at the same voltage. The garage for the cabins is located in the mountain station.
