Geography
Geographical location
Hausen am Bussen located on a hill south of the Danube, about 10 kilometers southwest of Ehingen (Donau).
Neighboring communities
The municipality is bordered to the north by the city Munderkingen, to the east by Emerkingen, to the south Unterwachingen and to Uttenweiler in Biberach district and on the west by Obermarchtal.
History
The place Hausen am Bussen has existed since the 13th century. The nickname comes from the buses Stockhausen's spatial proximity to the holy mountain of Upper Swabia, the buses.
Policy
Hausen am Bussen belongs to the administrative community Munderkingen.
Mayor
Charles Traub (CDU ) from 1966 to 2009 was mayor of Hausen am Bussen and also honorary mayor of the neighboring town Unterwachingen. Since May 2009 Hans Rieger has held this position and at the same time also mayor of the neighboring communities Emerkingen and Unterwachingen.
Coat of arms
In 1987, the District Office of the Alb-Donau district Hausen gave a coat of arms on buses. The yellow house is symbolic of living, the green mountain for the buses. Key and sword are taken from the coat of arms Obermarchtals.

Structures
The parish church, dedicated to St. Martin St. Martin was built in 1617 on the foundations of an earlier chapel. One of the peculiarities of this church is the side altar of the Madonna in stucco mosaic ( Scagliola ).
