Haut-du - Them -Château -Lambert is a commune in Haute -Saône in the Franche -Comté.
Geography
Haut-du - Them -Château -Lambert is at an altitude of 477 m above sea level, five kilometers north-east of Servance and about 25 km north- northwest of the town of Belfort ( a straight line ). The village is located in the extreme northeast of the department in the south-western Vosges, in a valley of the upper Ognon, between the Plateau des Mille Étangs and the heights of the Ballon de Servance.
The area of 25.16 km ² municipal area includes a portion of the south-western Vosges. From northeast to southwest, the area is crossed by the valley of the Ognon, which rises above Château- Lambert. Below Haut-du - Them the flood plain is flat and is on average 460 m. It has a maximum width of one kilometer is used predominantly agricultural. History
In the Middle Ages Château- Lambert and Haut-du - Them belonged to the Free County of Burgundy and in the territory of the Bailliage d' amont. Attractions
The village church of Haut-du - Them was inaugurated in 1848. It houses furniture and paneling in the Baroque style and a main altar made of granite. In Château- Lambert is the small single-nave church of Notre -Dame de l' Assomption, consecrated in 1616. With 442 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011) Haut-du - Them -Château -Lambert is one of the smaller towns in the Haute- Saône.
