Haute- Ajoie is a municipality in the district of Porrentruy in the canton of Jura in Switzerland.

Location

Haute- Ajoie is located southwest of Porrentruy, the capital of Ajoie, on the border with France. Neighboring communities are Grand Fontaine, Rocourt, Fahy, Bure, Courtedoux and Bressaucourt in the Canton of Jura and Montancy, Glère, Vaufrey, Montjoie- le -Château Villars -les- Blamont and Dannemarie in neighboring France. It is since the merger, the second largest municipality in the district Porrentruy.

History

The community was formed with effect on 1 January 2009 through the merger of the former municipalities Chevenez, Damvant, Réclère and Roche -d'Or. The municipality has no common crest. Each district uses continue his previous symbol.
