Haute-Corse

The French department of Haute- Corse [ otkɔʀs ] is located in the north of the Mediterranean island of Corsica and is referred to in the alphabetical order of the departments as No. 20b.

It was created on 15 September 1975, when the island of Corsica was divided into two departments. Since the license plate 20 to the former common Corse department corresponded to the department of Haute -Corse Corse indicator 2B the Département du Sud has been assigned, the indicator 2A. The Corsican license plate thus do not correspond to the typology of the French Department. The department of the respective Postleitzahlenpräfix 20 was indeed retained, the third digit, however, was set to 2 ( and in the department of Corse- du- Sud to 1 ), which had some changes to the result.
