Haute- Kontz ( German Oberkontz, Lorraine Uewer conc ) is a commune with 537 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Thionville -Est and Canton Sierck- les- Bains.

Geography

Haute- Kontz is located near the border triangle Luxembourg -France- Germany, at the confluence of the Moselle in Gander at an altitude 145-286 m above sea level. The municipality covers 6.41 km ².

History

The village belongs as its neighbor Contz -les- Bains ( Niederkontz ) since 1661 to France.
