Haven is a Canadian fantasy series, loosely based on the novel Colorado Kid by Stephen King and was developed by Jim Dunn and Sam Ernst. The series is produced mainly in and around the Canadian city Chester ( Nova Scotia ) in Canadian / American co-production.

Content

The FBI agent Audrey Parker comes to the location in Maine town of Haven to find an escaped prisoner and arrest. She encounters supernatural things that happen in the city. She learns that those mysterious incidents have occurred already in the city years ago, but then disappeared again. As these supernatural things again become more frequent and Audrey finds out that they too have something in this town, she decides to stay there for the local police to help clear up the mysterious cases.

Broadcast

The series started on 9 July 2010 in the United States on the cable channel Syfy. On 7 October 2010 Syfy extended the series to a second season with 13 episodes, which aired from 15 July 2011. On 12 October 2011 Haven was renewed for a 13-part third season, which aired on 21 September 2012 to 17 January 2013. On November 9, 2012, Syfy announced the production of a fourth season known which will again consist of 13 episodes. The broadcast of the fourth season began on 13 September and ended on 13 December 2013. Late January 2014, Syfy gave the production of a fifth season with 26 episodes known, the first 13 episodes should be seen in the fall of 2014, the other half is for planned in 2015.

In Germany, the German offshoot Syfy radiated from the first season from 8 October 2010 and the second season from November 10, 2011 in each case in a German Original. In the free-TV channel RTL II showed the first season from 7 September 2011. However, due to lack of audience interest, it was after the second episode from the time slot shifted by 22 clock to clock 0:10 and then just before the end of Season 1 all adjusted.

Reunion, the twelfth episode of the third season, in which among other things, violence at an American High School is shown, it should be sent on December 14, 2012 originally. As a result of the killing spree at the Sandy Hook Elementary School on the morning of the same day, Syfy decided not to send the result. Instead ran this program place a repeat of the animated Eureka episode Do You See What I See.
