Having (inlet)

The Having a lagoon -like bay in the northeast of rügischen Bodden, deep in the peninsula Moenchgut, the south-eastern tip of Rügen, cuts.

The bay is approximately 5.7 km long, 1.1 km wide with an area of 7.5 km ² and opens towards the southwest to rügischen Bodden, the northern part of the Bay of Greifswald. The Having of up to eight feet deep. In the south, Having is limited by the long, narrow peninsula Reddevitzer Hoeft, on the north by the Granitz. In the north, open the narrow connections to the Lake Sellin and Neuensiener lake. The heights around the bay reach over thirty feet.

At the Having himself are no towns. The bay is part of the nature reserve Moenchgut in Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve.
