Hawker 4000

The Hawker 4000, Hawker Horizon originally, is a twin-engine business aircraft of the U.S. manufacturer Hawker Beechcraft (formerly Raytheon Aircraft).

History

The Hawker 4000 was announced in 1996 as the Hawker Horizon. However, the first flight took place only on 11 August 2001. The approval by the FAA on 21 November 2006. However, since the machine was no delivery, fell into this temporary approval, and only on 12 June 2008 then received the machine production approval by the FAA. Already on 2 December 2005 ordered NetJets fifty models, in March 2007, were more than 130 orders. Then the first machine was delivered on 18 June 2008. On May 3, 2010, the approval of the European Medicines Agency EASA followed. The original price is around 23 million U.S. dollars.

The Hawker 4000 can accommodate up to fourteen passengers, the cabin but is usually equipped with eight seats. The hull is partially made of composite materials, which range and altitude were increased compared to conventional aircraft aluminum. As Cockpit Avionics Honeywell Primus Epic including a FADEC system has been selected.
