Haysi Fantayzee

Haysi Fantayzee was a British band, which became known in the early 1980s in the lee of Culture Club in the New Wave music scene. Like other bands, such as Dead or Alive and Marilyn, they had a big hit and released several singles to then completely disappear from the scene.

The band founded Paul Caplin, who formerly sang with the band Animal magnet, and Jeremiah Healy and Kate Garner, who moved due to their eye-catching appearance of the attention. Colorful leggings, long dreadlocks, flashy hats and long shirts clothing belonged to the repertoire of Jeremiah Healy and Kate Garner. Their appearance was reminiscent of the singer and DJ Boy George. There were also the bassist Alfie Agius, the violinist Bobby Valentino and saxophonist Simon Henry, and the two guitarists Mick and Kate Green.

Haysi Fantayzee had their breakthrough in 1982 with the song " John Wayne Is Big Leggy " and the subsequent single " Shiny Shiny", both got in the charts internationally. The associated album " Battle Hymns for Children Singing" could offer no further hits and was also the only album the band. Since the album 's success could not continue, the band fell apart. Jeremiah Healy subsequently worked as a progressive trance DJ. Kate Garner brought out some solo records and was then a successful photographer. Alfie Anguis joined the band The Fixx.
