HAZCHEM Emergency Action Code

The HazChem code comes from the English room (Hazardous Chemicals, Hazardous chemicals German ). He briefly describes the action taken by the fire brigade emergency and protective measures in case of damage of dangerous chemicals.

In Germany the HazChem code as well as the risk of diamond is usually not to be found in the cargo or the transport vehicle, but in the relevant literature ( Hommel, hazardous keys) or in computerized databases of the control center ( Resy 2009 Keudel database, information system for hazardous substances (IGS), etc.).

The advantage of this code is that not only the dangers are broken down individually as in the Kemler. Instead, clear instructions for chemical, protective clothing and procedures are specified (eg foam, CSA, diking ).
