Hazembourg
Hazembourg ( German: Hate Castle ) is a commune with 111 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs administratively to the arrondissement and canton Sarreguemines Sarralbe.
Geography
The municipality is situated approximately 30 kilometers south of Saarbrücken, on the southern edge of the Albetales.
History
The place was first mentioned in 1538 as Hassombourg. Other names were Hayembourg ( 1664), Hassembourg (1755 ) and Hasembourg (1801 ).
