Hazu (Aichi)

Hazu (Japanese幡 豆 町, -chō ) was a Japanese community in Aichi Prefecture in the district Hazu. 2011, it was incorporated as the entire county in the district-free city of Nishio.

Geography

The city is situated on the coast of Mikawa Bay. In the north the city is bounded by the Sangane Mountains (三ヶ根山). From the structure erected toll Sangane Skyline Road one has a good view of the Mikawa Bay. To Hazu include the two small islands Usagishima (兎 岛, rabbit island) and Sarugashima (猿ヶ島, Monkey Island ). Hazu is mainly divided into the districts Hazu Higashi (东 幡 豆, East Hazu ) Terabe (寺 部, temple district), Nishi Hazu (西 幡 豆, West Hazu ) and Toba (鸟羽). Hazu will in 2011 along with the two other towns in the district Hazu, Kira (吉 良 町), and Isshiki (一色 町), the city of Nishio (西 尾市), connect, and given up to it.

Attractions

To the east of Hazu there is also the Kodomo no Kuni (子供 の 国, children's area ), a small theme park for children. In the district Terabe near the town hall there is a small history museum. Near it there was originally the Terabe (寺 部 城) Castle.

Transport links

Hazu be reached by car or train from Anjo or Gamagōri by the Meitetsu Gamagōri line. Hazu has four stations on this line, Kodomonokuni, Higashi - Hazu, Nishi- Mikawa - Toba and Hazu. The few years ago, newly created International Chubu Airport (中部 国际 空港, Chubu Kokusai Kuko ) is also located within 30-45 minutes of Hazu.
