History

The association was created in 2002 by the merger of the Handball Teams TSG Balingen and TV Weilstetten. The gaming community increased after the first season of the Regionalliga in the second Handball Bundesliga Süd. Since the championship in the second Handball Bundesliga Süd 2005/2006 of the HBW plays in the Handball - Bundesliga. Their home games denies the first team of HBW in 2006 built Sparkassen- Arena.
