History

The HC 46 Bardejov was founded in 1946 under the name Sokol Bardejov. Other names of the days of Czechoslovakia always unterklassig playing teams were Slavoj Bardejov, Partizan Bardejov, and TJ Stavstroj Tars Bardejov, before you chose in 1992 the present name. From 1983 to 1993 Bardejov joined respectively to the third Czechoslovak Hockey League. After dissolution of the state and the division into the two independent states Czech Republic and Slovakia to the HC 46 Bardejov was inducted into the third class 2 league in which he played exclusively, before the 2006/07 season as champions move up to the second class 1. League reached. In their first two seasons in professional hockey teams Bardejovs occupied the eleventh and eighth.

The association acts as a farm team of HC Košice. In the 2011/12 season the men's team of the club reached the championship of the first league, but was not allowed to ascend to the Extraliga due to the cooperation with the HC Košice.
