HC Rotterdam

The HC Rotterdam was founded on 16 September 1925 and with 2342 members (2006 ) of the largest hockey club in the Netherlands, at the same time the most successful of the five Rotterdam club. The club plays in white jerseys, green pants or skirts and green nozzle.

The men's team in 2005 increased again in the Hoofdklasse and reached in the 2006/2007 season the play-offs of the top four teams. In the semifinal series against the eventual champions HC Bloemendaal the HCR failed only in the 7-meter shooting the third and decisive game, but qualified for the Euro Hockey League 2007 /2008. The ladies are continuously since the 1990/1991 season in the top Dutch league and placed in the 2007/2008 season in fifth place.

The spacious club complex consists of three and four wasserbesprengte sandverfüllte artificial grass courts. The main square has a covered grandstand me around 2,500 seats and an opposite stand with around 800 seats. The site is located since the move in the summer of 2001 at Hazelaaarweg in the north of Rotterdam, where the club hosted the 2001 Champions Trophy and 2005 World Junior Championships was.
