HC Ryazan

The HK Ryazan (Russian ХК Рязань ) is an ice hockey club established in 1955 the Russian city of Ryazan. The team plays in the second-rate Wysschaja Hockey League.

History

The club was founded in 1955 as Komanda Rjasani. Initially the team played in the Soviet unterklassigen leagues. In the season 1969/70, the rise in the third-class Wtoraja League succeeded. Due to the success in the first round the team tried in 1979, 1985 and 1988 rise through the promotion round to second-class league, but failed.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union of HK Ryazan was a long time resident in the sub-prime Wysschaja League, in 2010 he was inducted into its successor league Wysschaja Hockey League.

HK Ryazan acts as a farm team of the KHL participant Atlant Mytischtschi.
