HC Villars

The Villars HC is a first league ice hockey club from Villars -sur -Ollon. The club is one of the founders of the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation and in 1963 and 1964 Swiss Champion.
The association maintains a women's ice hockey team, currently (2013 ) in performance Class 3 ( Group West Switzerland ) plays.
History
The club was founded in 1906 and was still in the same year, one of the eight founding members of the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation. In his club's history the club was merged twice with other clubs and joined by his name: In the 1920s, the club played after merger with three times Swiss champions HC Bellerive Vevey as HC Villars -Bellerive and from 1966 to 1973 was called the club Villars- Champéry.
His most successful times had Villars in the 1960s, as the club from 1961 to 1963, the rise of the first league succeeded within two years of the Swiss championship. 1962 defended the Villars HC this item. The following year he missed out on the runner-up Champion Triple.
In 1966, the team got back into the NLB from, could not keep himself there, and disappeared a year later, again in the 1st league. There, the club managed to catch them again and rose after two seasons in 1969 and again in the National League B. From 1974 to 1976 Villars then played again for two seasons in the top division.
Although when the club in 1982 descent into 1st League managed the same in the following season 's re-emergence in the NLA, then said goodbye to 1984 but definitely in the top divisions. Since then, the club played most of the time in the first league with excursions to the fourth-rate 2nd League from 1986 to 1988 and 2004 to 2007.
Pitch
At the beginning, the club played a long time on the ice rink in Villars Palace. From 1955 to 1960, you could play at the Hotel Victoria, before returning again to Villars Palace. Today's ice rink is a gift of Potin family, it was opened on 26 November 1960 and covered at the beginning of the 1970s.
