The star is accompanied by two sub-stellar objects. In the inner companion, called HD 168 443 b could be an exoplanet, the outer companion, called HD 168 443 c is a brown dwarf.

Inner companion

HD 168 443 b is a substellares object that the central star with a semi-major axis of about 0.3 astronomical units (AU ) and an eccentricity of 0.53 in 58.11 days revolves. The minimum mass M * sin (i ) is about 8 times Jupiter's mass; thus, it could be a low-mass exoplanets or a brown dwarf at HD 168 443 b. The property was built in 1998 by Butler et al. discovered.

Outside companion

HD 168 443 c is a brown dwarf with an orbital period of 4.8 years. The semi-major axis of its path measures 2.9 AE, the orbital eccentricity is 0.21. The mass of HD 168 443 c is estimated to be about 20 to 30 Jupiter masses with a maximum of slightly more than 40 Jupiter masses.
