HD 23596

HD 23596 is a 165 light-years distant, sun-like star in the constellation Perseus. It has an apparent magnitude of 7.3 mag and is orbited by the candidate exoplanet HD 23596 b.

Companion

In 2002, Perrier et al discovered. using the radial velocity method a potential extrasolar planet orbiting this star with an orbital period of about 1565 days. The orbit of the object has a semi-major axis of about 2.8 astronomical units and an eccentricity of 0.29.
