HD 59686 b

HD 59686 b is an extrasolar planet that orbits the orange giant HD 59686 every 119.29 days. Due to its high mass is assumed that it is a gas planet.

Discovery

As the majority of exoplanets was also discovered that using the radial velocity method. The planet was from D. S. Mitchell et al. discovered in 2003.

Circulation and mass

The planet orbits its star at a distance of about 0,911 astronomical units and has a minimum mass of about 5.25 Jupiter masses ( about 1700 Earth masses ).
