HD 93129A is one of the most luminous stars in the Milky Way. It is a main sequence star of the O class which is 10 kilo - light years away from Earth. Its surface temperature is about 51,000 Kelvin. The star is located in the Carina Nebula relatively close to Eta Carinae.
