Head On (video game)

Head On is a computer game, which was established in 1979 by the company Gremlin as an arcade game. There was also by Sega and Irem arcade versions. Shortly thereafter, but it was also for several home computers, such as the VC 20 and Commodore 64 ported. The game is a labyrinth game like Pac -Man, but the player controls a car.

In the movie 1982 " The Lampoon's Vacation " - in English " National Lampoon's Vacation" with Chevy Chase and Beverly D' Angelo, the game had a small cameo.

There is a maze of rectangular 5 lanes ( at ports also 3 or 4). The first is on the outside of the screen, the other taper inwardly. Each in the center of all points of the compass, there are openings where the track can be changed.

Like Pac -Man, the objective of the game, all the points that lie on the track to pick up. Then comes a new level. The player's car can not collide with a computer-controlled car. It can not be slowed down or stopped, only accelerated by pressing a button. In later levels, there are several computer cars. There are also versions in which two real players can compete against each other.
