Health 2.0

Health 2.0 ( German about " Health 2.0 ") and the closely related concept of medicine 2.0 are collective terms for the opportunities that arise from the combination of health care, e-health and Web 2.0. Commonly used was the term, having a series of newspaper articles in Economic and consumer titles dealing with it ( eg The Economist 2007) and he appeared in the medical community (eg, first in the British Medical Journal 2006 ).

A fairly accurate definition of Health 2.0 is " participatory health care ." Thus, the situation created by the web 2.0 solution is described to be able to integrate patients and other reference groups of supporters in the rapid dissemination, evaluation and summary of health information. The common goal is to improve health care in general, as well as a possible improvement of patient care ( patient experiences ), and ultimately the results of treatment (medical outcomes).
