Heather Crowe

Heather Crowe ( born April 23, 1945 in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, † May 22, 2006 in Ottawa, Ontario) was a Canadian waitress who has set many years against passive smoking in their workplace to defend.

She became ill in 2002 after 40 years as a waitress from lung cancer. As she herself testified she had not smoked a single day in their lives. When she learned of her illness, she was very involved in protecting against passive smoking. In 2002 she filed in the province of Ontario a request by law to protect workers from exposure to tobacco smoke in the restaurant business. On 28 May 2006, four days after her death at the age of 61 years, their application has been approved and adopted a comprehensive law for Non smoking protection.
