Heavenly (French band)

Heavenly is a French power metal band.

History

Heavenly was founded in Paris in 1994 by Ben Sotto and Max Pilo under the name of Satan's Lawyer and was originally just a cover band. Influenced by Helloween, Guns N ' Roses, Stratovarius, Angra and Rhapsody of Fire, they produced together with guitarist Anthony Parker a demo recording with three tracks. Parker did not stay long with the band. Shortly after his departure, the band got a record deal, so quickly new members were looking at Noise Records. Chris Savourey came as a replacement for Parker and Laurent Jean completed the band on bass.

In May 2000, released their debut album Heavenly Coming From The Sky, which was also participated by Kai Hansen Gamma Ray and Piet Sielk Iron Savior as a guest singer. In November of the same year they toured with Symphony X of France and entered the Hard Rock Magazine Festival. With Fredreric Leclercq a keyboardist was added as an additional member since Laurent and Jean had left the band, he was replaced by Piere -Emmanuel Pelisson. This band accompanied Stratovarius in December 2000 on the Infinite tour as support band. However, the occupation carousel continued as Chris Savourey also went, why Leclerq took over the position of the guitarist.

Was published in 2001 the second album Sign Of The Winner, which earned them favorable review by the media. On a tour as the opening act for Edguy they applied the album. Charley Corbiaux was their second guitarist during this tour and was subsequently included as a permanent member.

After an appearance at Wacken Open Air 2002, the recording of their third album Dust to Dust, which was released in early 2004 began. In 2006, she released her fourth album virus. July 7, 2007 Heavenly appeared as the opening act on the first Magic Circle Festival in Bad Arolsen. Part of this presence is on the DVD Magic Circle Festival - see Volume 1. In 2009, finally came the fifth studio album Carpe Diem.
