Hebron is a village in Licking County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,034 according to the census in 2000.

History

When in 1827 John Smith filed the first development plan for Hebron, Ohio - Erie Canal was under construction. On July 4, 1825 New York Governor DeWitt Clinton had made ​​the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the canal a few miles north of the settlement. The canal was completed in 1828 by Hebron. At the same time led the Old National Trail, now U.S. Highway 40, through the settlement.
