Heckler & Koch HK13
The HK13 is a light machine gun of the German arms manufacturer Heckler & Koch
The HK13 corresponds in many respects to the HK 11, but for the smaller 5.56 × 45 mm NATO furnished. Early seventies developed, it was from 1982, replaced by the version HK13E. Both versions have been exported only and were not used in the FRG.
The ammunition supply was made from rod magazines with 20 or 30 rounds, curve magazines with 40 rounds or double drum magazines with 100 cartridges capacity. By conversion of the feed but the use of belted cartridges was also possible. The gun was optimized for the M193 cartridge and had a practical rate of fire of 60 rounds / min. The sight line was 541 mm, with a telescopic sight was mounted.
While the HK13 had a slightly curved piston, this was graded at HK13E. In addition, when HK13E handed the hand guard to the flash hider and there was an additional handle on the center of the hand guard.
