Heddal Open Air Museum

Heddal bygdetun is an open air museum in Heddal, 6 km west from the center of the municipality of Notodden, Telemark, Norway. The farm is a farm and consists of listed buildings and exhibits dating from the Middle Ages until 1930. Were some buildings have been converted from their historic locations on the current museum site and rebuilt. The museum is owned by the Heddalsvatnet and Notodden Museum Society and is managed by the Norwegian Industrial Workers Museum since 2010. In the summer of potatoes, vegetables and herbs are grown in the museum, and kept chickens and rabbits. The museum is about 300m from the Heddal Stave Church, the largest stave church preserved. The museum is open every summer from June 15 to August 15.
