Motorsports History

The racers Altfrid Heger and Business Administration Christof Maischak founded the Hegersport GmbH in 2000 in Essen - the hometown Heger.

The company was responsible for the implementation of the V8 Star Championship with silhouette touring car from 2000 to 2003. The series was initially suspended in 2004. But eventually had to be canceled the 2005 season.

As of 2004, organized Hegersport sports driver training and other events in the automotive sector. Since 2005, the company organized on behalf of the Porsche Porsche Sports Cup Germany as a customer sports series for amateur racers.

2010, decided Hegersport, under the name Triple H Team Hegersport to participate in the newly advertised FIA GT1 World Championship. As one of two teams in the series sat Hegersport two Maserati MC12 GT1 for the whole season one. The technical support for the vehicles took over the later world champion and five-time FIA GT champion team Vitaphone Racing by Michael Bartels, also used two Maserati. Team boss Heger took part in all races except for the tread in Spain. He shared the cockpit first with Alexandros Margaritis and later with Alex Müller. The second Maserati of Hegersport began with Bert Longin and Matteo Bobbi. After Bobbi had left the team, Longin went with Nico Verdonck and Alessandro Pier Guidi, who denied even the season finale together. As Longin with Müller drove the first car in Portugal, to Pier Guidi and Nicholas Mayr- Melnhof shared the second.
