Heidarieh Mosque, Qazvin

The Heydarieh - Madrasa (also: madrese -ye Haydar, in the English speaking also: Heidarieh Mosque, (Persian مسجد حیدریه قزوین ) ) is an Islamic school in the Iranian city of Qazvin from the early 12th century.

The madrasa was built on the ruins of a Zoroastrian fire temple. In the vernacular, the plant is also known as " Āteshkāde " ( Fire Temple, Persian آتشکده ) known. It is located in downtown Qazvins, hidden behind the raised walls, near the " Ali qapu Palace ". The madrasa has been almost completely destroyed in the course of time. For this purpose, an earthquake in the year 1119 had contributed. Amir Khomär - täsh, a vizier of Malik Shah I had rebuilt the plant then. Today, from a historical time are still only the square, domed prayer hall and Ivan. Also a residual, Kufic inscription is considered because it is one of the most magnificent that were discovered in Iran as spectacular. Furthermore, there is a stucco - Mehrab.

Just as the Friday Mosque in Qazvin the Heydarieh - Madrasa comes in substantial parts of the Seljuk period.

Today is the Medrasa Mosque and the seat of a primary school with a library and auditorium.
