Heihe

Heihe (Chinese黑河 市, pinyin Heihe Shì ) is a prefecture -level city in the Chinese province of Heilongjiang. The administrative area of the city of Heihe has a total area of ​​approximately 68,726 km ² and approximately 1.75 million inhabitants ( end of 2011).

Geography

History

An earlier name of the city is Aihui.

Economy

Heihe has great importance as a trading center, particularly trade with Russia plays an important role. Together with Blagoveshchensk forms Heihe a free trade zone.
