Heiki Nabi

Heiki Nabi ( born June 6, 1985 in Kärdla on Hiiumaa ) is an Estonian wrestler.

Life and Sport

Heiki Nabi grew up on the second largest Estonian island of Hiiumaa in the village Hilleste (Town Pühalepa ).

At the 2006 World Championships, held from September 26 to October 10 in Guangzhou, China, he surprisingly won the gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling in the weight class up to 96 kg. On 28 October the Estonian Post brought out a special post card showing Heiki Nabi at the awards ceremony. 2012 came Nabi at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games to the finals before, where he was defeated by Cuban Mijaín López.

Heiki Nabi is 192.5 centimeters tall and weighs 102-103 kg, it starts in the class up to 96 kg. He trained at the club Märjamaa Juhan; his coach is Henn Põlluste.
