Heiko Fischer

Heiko Fischer ( born February 25, 1960 in Stuttgart, † November 21, 1989 in Sindelfingen, Germany ) was a German figure skater.

Life

Heiko Fischer was a five-time German champion nationwide. He trained at Karel Fajfr and started for the TUS Stuttgart. In German Championships he won against Norbert Schramm and Rudi Cerne. The tall athlete was a very good duty runners, whose freestyles were characterized by their athletic jumps. In the artistic expression he stayed behind his West German colleagues back Schramm and Cerne in international comparison.

Fischer broke on 21 November 1989 when playing squash with friends. He died from the effects of chronic and acute myocarditis in Sindelfingen hospital. Fischer was married and had a son.

In Memory of Heiko Fischer will be held in Stuttgart Heiko Fischer Cup since 1991.
