Heiko Gerber

Heiko Gerber ( born July 11, 1972 in Stollberg / Erzgeb. ) Is a German former football player who preferred to left-back was used, but was placed in the left side of midfield.

Career

About the stations Chemnitz, Bielefeld and Nuremberg came Gerber 1999 VfB Stuttgart. 2007 Gerber won the German championship with VfB. It was the first title in his pro career. In the DFB Cup final but he pissed Stuttgart with the chance to crown the season with the Double.

After he got no chance for a regular place at VfB to Gerber chose his career after the summer break in 2007 still continue 04 for 2 years at FC Ingolstadt. There he rose in 2008 as a leading player on the final day of the Regionalliga Süd in the 2nd Bundesliga. After the descent of the FC Ingolstadt in the 3rd League Gerber moved in July 2009 to regional league SSV Ulm 1846. For the summer of 2010, he announced his career end in order then to act as a coach at youth level with VfB Stuttgart.

Overall Gerber played 199 Bundesliga games and scored 11 goals. He also played twice and participated in the Confederations Cup 1999 in Mexico part.
