Heiko Triebener

Heiko Triebener (* November 24, 1964 in Berlin ) is a German tuba player.

He grew up in Tübingen, where he made high school and studied musicology. As a high school student he took first baritone, then tuba lessons at the music school of Tübingen and studied privately with Robert Tucci (Bayerische Staatsoper). As a student, he attended numerous master classes important tuba players in Europe and North America.

1984 won Heiko Triebener the International Instrumental Competition Markneukirchen and the Tuba Solo Competition of the International Brass Conference Bloomington (Indiana). In the same year he was tuba player on the Saarbrücken Radio Symphony Orchestra, in 1987 he joined the orchestra of the Beethoven Hall, Bonn, since 1993 he plays with the Bamberg Symphony.

Heiko Triebener occurred worldwide as a soloist and has equally distinguished himself as a chamber musician, such as the 1987 co-founded by him Melton Tuba Quartett. He has given master classes in Europe, North America and Asia and has played at numerous international Tubakongressen, taught and referenced.

Since 2012, Heiko is Triebener lecturer in tuba at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg.
