Location

Heiligenmoschel lies at the foot of 459.7 m above sea level. NN Reiser high mountain in the north- Palatinate mountains, approximately 18 km north of Kaiserslautern. The irregularly running local roads departing from the fracture site of different streams.

History

The place belonged to the late Middle Ages to the rule Schallodenbach and was first mentioned in 1396 as " the village and court to All Saints Mosseln " for the first time. In the 16th century, the burner of Lewenstein shared the rule with SICKINGEN - Schallodenbach the possession of the place. 1601/ 03 bought Duke Johann von Pfalz -Zweibrücken on all shares. Heiligenmoschel was thus a zweibrückischer Amtsort of Oberamts Meis home.
