Heilshoop

Heilshoop is a municipality in the extreme north of the district Stormarn in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography

Heilshoop is located on the Heilsau.

History

Heilshoop was first documented in 1189 as Haleshope called, as it belonged to the Cistercian monastery Reinfeld. It was, however, probably already established earlier by Slavs in the boule Gau. After the Reformation and the associated closure of the monastery Heilshoop came to the ruler's office Reinfeld. Serfdom was abolished in 1787.

After the annexation of Schleswig-Holstein by Prussia in 1867 Heilshoop was incorporated into the newly formed Stormarn. With the introduction of the Prussian municipal constitution in 1889 it came to the District Zarpen, which became the official Zarpen 1948. Since the 1972 local government reform it is part of the official North Stormarn.

Religions

Since the 13th century Heilshoop belonged to the parish Zarpen.

Policy

Of the nine seats in the municipal council voters Community HKW has since the municipal election held on May 26, 2013 four seats, the voter community NPP has three seats and voters Community AWH two seats. The turnout was 58 %.

The bookmobile in Stormarn holds in 3- week rhythm at two breakpoints in Heilshoop.

Recreation

On the east bank of the bog pond there is a possibility for swimming. It is no lifeguard and not subject to the standards and requirements of the EU and the State of Schleswig -Holstein for swimming. The water quality of swimming is regularly inspected by the health authorities.
