The cable car Interlaken- Heimwehfluh is a funicular railway leading into the Heimwehfluh at Interlaken.
History
The cable car Interlaken- Heimwehfluh was opened on July 21, 1906 and operated from the start electrically. It is a single-track system without brake rack, with a shunting station in the middle in the form of a Abtschen Soft and 2 cars. The journey takes about 3 minutes. The railway is operated as nostalgic cable car, both the engine compartment and rolling stock are still largely in its original state.
At the mountain station, a restaurant, an observation tower, an interesting model railway track 0 and a toboggan run round course and a monorail toboggan run down to Interlaken. It was also listed there, the open-air theater Oh Schreck in May to June 2012. It was written by the German actor Michael Goessler and the Swiss theater actress Deborah Lanz it staged and directed.
