Hein-Arne Mathiesen

Hein -Arne Mathiesen ( born April 4, 1971) is a former Norwegian ski jumper.

Mathiesen started from 1991 in the Continental Cup (COC ). However, in the first two years he was unsuccessful. Only in the 1993/94 season he could reach the 16th place in the COC overall standings with 302 points. Then he was also nominated for the first time on 22 January 1994, a jump in the ski jumping World Cup and jumped on the normal hill in Sapporo on the 54th Place. Even later in the day he stayed with space 42 unsuccessful on the large hill. In the following seasons, he jumped back only in the Continental Cup. In the 1996/97 season he reached 841 points his first and only total victory in this series. Subsequently, he was nominated in 1997 for a further jump in the World Cup. On February 1, 1997, he reached it in Willingen with number 28 his first World Cup points. In the second competition a day later he reached number 9 with the highest finish of his career in the World Cup. The World Cup season 1996/97 he finished on the 61st place in the overall World Cup standings. For the 1997/98 season, he started once again unsuccessful in the Continental Cup, before he ended his ski jumping career after the 1998 season.
