Heine Jensen

Ernst Heine Jensen ( born February 11, 1977 in Thisted ) is a native of Denmark Handball coach.

Career

Jensen began playing handball in his birthplace of Thisted. His next two stops were Aalborg KFUM and Brønderslev. In the season 2002/ 03 he worked as an assistant coach with the Danish women's team Sindal IF. In 2003, he joined the Norwegian first division club Stord IL. After half a year Stord had no coach and the playing on Right Wing Jensen took over this office. Then Jensen was one and a half years active only as a stand-by players and finished his playing career in 2005.

In 2005, Jensen took over as coach of the women's team from the Norwegian first division Sola HK. At participate by Danish coach Morten Arvidsson, of the German Bundesliga club HC Leipzig trained at that time, Jensen was committed by second division side SV Union Halle- Neustadt in the summer of 2007. After Arvidsson gave up his post in the summer of 2008, Heine Jensen took over as coach of HC Leipzig. Under his leadership, won the HCL 2009 and 2010, the German championship.

The German Handball Federation undertook Heine Jensen on 25 March 2011 from his current contract until 2012 as head coach of HC Leipzig out as coach of the German women's national team. Until 30 June 2011, he took both functions next to each other true, and exercises in July 2011, only from the post of national coach. Under his leadership, Germany reached the quarterfinals at the World Cup in 2013, retired from there but against his home country.

Jensen is dating former Norwegian handball national team Mette Ommundsen.
