Heinfried Birlenbach

Hein Fried Birlenbach ( born December 7, 1940 in Siegen- Birlenbach ) is a former German track and field athlete.

Hein Fried Birlenbach started as a shot putter for Sportfreunde Siegen and took part in three Olympic Games: 1964 in Tokyo, in Mexico in 1968 and in Munich in 1972. Then he put with a personal best jump of 20.37 meters to the final and finished second in the final ranking seventh.

In 1968 he became the six countries struggle in Brescia with 20.18 m the European record. He was the sixth consecutive German shot put champion and was appointed to 46 Athletics countries fighting. To date, Hein Fried Birlenbach holds the winner country records in the shot put ( 20.37 meters, achieved on 9 September 1972 in Munich) and in the discus throw ( 50.64 meters, achieved on 22 September 1966 in Fröndenberg )

Hein Fried Birlenbach had during his playing days a height of 2.02 m and weighed 135 kg.
