Heinfried Engel

Hein Fried Engel ( born July 8, 1947 in Haiger ) is a former German pole vaulter.

At the European Indoor Games 1967 in Prague, he was fifth in the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City and eight in the Indoor Athletics Championships 1970 in Vienna fifth.

1971 was followed by a fourth place finish at the European Indoor Championships in Sofia, an eighth place finish at the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki. He finished seventh at the European Indoor Championships in Grenoble in 1972.

In 1969 he became German champion in 1967 and 1968, German Vice Champion. In the hall he took in 1969 and 1979 and the national title in 1967, 1971 and 1972 runner-up.

Hein Fried angel launched until 1967 for the SV Siemens Nuremberg, then for the USC Mainz.
